Young at Heart Lunch Club
The club was established in 2005 and on Friday September 18th 2015, celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary with many of the original members present.
The purpose of the club is to encourage local residents to come out of their homes and socialise for a few hours and we achieve this by providing a welcoming and friendly environment where they can catch up on the news and have a traditional hot meal. The menu changes weekly.
Our excellent resident cook, Eileen, cooks all meals fresh on the day, on the premises. The menu changes weekly. Membership of the club is free and open to people who can attend the Parish Hall. For just £4 you can enjoy a good home-cooked meal and a pudding followed by tea or coffee.
Mrs Gladys Griffiths, co-ordinator said, "over the years we have fostered a family spirit amongst the membership and they all look out for each other. The party was a huge success and served as a big thank you to the members and volunteers for their continued support."
The club meets at the Parish Hall in Coedpoeth every Friday from 11.30am-1.30pm. Anyone wishing to join, please call in on a Friday to see us or call or email:
